Pilot Level 2 is a training and examination that takes place after you’ve flown at least 60 hours and completed a minimum of 100 flights following your basic course – although most pilots have flown much more than that. With a Pilot 2 license on your pilot badge, you are considered an experienced pilot with the right to fly independently anywhere in the world.
* The price applies to training during trips abroad organized by Viking Paragliding. For other available occasions, the price is 5 000 SEK.
The theoretical part of the course is focused on ensuring that you now have a deep understanding of the principles of paragliding, including regulations for flying in civil aviation airspace.
In the practical part, you are expected to master thermal flying in more turbulent conditions, descend quickly if the weather turns unfavorable, and land precisely at your intended landing site.
As part of the practical training, you are also expected to independently launch from a designated site, complete a longer cross-country flight, identify a suitable landing area, and land safely.
Please note: completing of the course does not guarantee a license upgrade unless all course elements are approved according to the course checklist.
